If a man walks around with shaved legs and a dress or skirt, it is considered wrong. Why are women allowed to wear dresses but not men? Also why are Transvestites treated so poorly?
Christians in my family say cross-dressing is wrong and disgusting, yet many of the men wear kilts? Isn’t that cross-dressing? It is just a skirt afterall…

(And if you cross-dress don’t be offended, I’m transgender and considered ‘wrong’ by my family).
This Halloween, I’m going to a costume-only party, where the theme is cross-dressing. So, I’m going as Sarah Palin for Halloween. However, I have to go shopping for women’s outfits – no, that’s not embarrassing at all. But, to make the process easier and less painful, I have a few questions about men’s sizes and how they would be translated into women’s sizes:
1. 40-42 pants/XL to XXL size for a skirt
2. XL shirt size for a blouse/blazer
3. 13 shoe size for high heels.
I’m going all out for this, so I would appreciate your help. Please try to keep the comments about my dwindling masculinity down a minimum.
Thanks for your help in advance!
A few weeks ago, I found myself with the sudden urge to wear my mom’s clothes. I thought I was going to be straight and not interested in cross-dressing all my life, but that’s all changed. After a little confusion, I got a dress on, to find that…I absolutely loved it. This set off a chain of events where I tried on different combinations of shirts, jeans, dresses, and a skirt. The next time I had the urge, I went a little further and wore panties with the clothing, and felt better. And the next time, I wore a bra and panties. I even tried makeup, but found it to be too much of a hassle. (And, admittedly, poked my eye with an eyeliner pencil). Now, wearing women’s underwear and clothing is becoming a regular thing for me, but very few people know about it. I got a buzz cut a month or two ago, and have wanted to shave my head while in said clothing, but never had the guts. Only two people know I indulge in this, but I want to walk out wearing women’s clothing and show even one person I’m close to. There are other things I’d like to do, like shop for dresses in a store and try them on so someone can critique them on me. Cross-dressing isn’t defined as normal, but it’s what makes me happy, and I want to share that with someone else.
Now, I’ve tried on my mom’s clothes a lot, and I want a different experience. The two people I’ve told about my cross-dressing are both girls, but I haven’t gotten any opportunities to try on their clothes. I really want to try on different clothes, and possibly go shopping with a girl, but I don’t know exactly what I should do.
What recommendations do you have so I can indulge my love of cross-dressing?
