Hasn’t everyone ever, at least once, tried cross dressing?
There is this boy in my hometown, in Ohio, who was written up in the local paper because he cross dresses and he even performs in clubs. http://www.limaohio.com/news/drag_22822___article.html/josh_queen.html
I don’t know how he can get away with it in my town, but everyone who has commented assumes he is gay.. The article, however, never said one word about his sexual preference.
I think nearly everyone has tried that. If you haven’t, you were raised under a rock.
I know the feeling, as a kid, with my sister painting my nails, me wearing my mother’s shoes, etc. It was child’s play.
But, when the joke was over, I wanted so badly out of it. (The nail polish especially didn’t come off so easily). Still, I’m thankful I was at least allowed to see for myself, then going on to a normal life putting that behind me, so ,.. He is still a kid, too; so at least, until you have solid proof, spare the labeling…

Ummm, no, I haven’t ever tried it.
And, just because someone is a cross-dresser does not mean they are gay. And many people who are gay are not cross-dressers. To each his own, right?

Oh heck yes. I grew up with women and always played dress up. :-]
look at girls. especially tomboys, we girls just by wearing t shirts and shorts or pants have cross dressed. and tomboys typically wear full on boys clothing, its just a girl can get away with it cause its acceptable in todays day and age.
I’m a lesbo and i can say growing up I used to take eyeliner and draw on a beard or mustache and when my father was out i would try dressing up his closes
I remember stealing my dad’s shoes when I was little and stumbling around in them, and I wore the boy’s uniform at my private school, but that was it.
Now, though, I wear men’s clothes regularly. My wardrobe is made entirely of boy’s tees and, for prom, I’m going to wear a tux. ^^
Girl’s clothes are too clingy, see-through, and just make me feel weird…
I once did. Back when I was in college I did it as a Halloween gag just to have fun. We were a large group of friends—gay, bi, and straight guys and gals. I went to a thrift store and bought a vintage sequined gown, some heels from Payless, a huge wig at the flea market, and the rest of the getup from the dollar store. My sis did the makeup, hair, and nails, and voila—-I became Diana Ross! I looked pretty good, too. Of course, back then I wasn’t as muscular as I am now and I could pass as a real woman (except that I still don’t know how women walk in high heel shoes because I fell down quite a few times while I was wearing them). They used to have a gay club in Fort Lauderdale called La Copa (or something like that), and we all went there after we left the party on campus. I performed one of Diana Ross’ old disco songs in an amateur drag contest and actually won. Man, those were fun times!
And by the way, you are right. Not everybody who does drag is gay. There are many straight men who are into it as a fetish.
I was a very girly kid, so I put on dresses and wanted my hair long (still do, heh heh) and painted my nails and just played around. Back then I always saw myself as a girl, but now I see myself as a guy, and I like being a guy. I think cross dressing would be fun if it were more accepted because you DO get to be someone else. But I don’t think I’d ever live in drag…

good point I missed the whole point on the sexual orientation- it is estimated 10% of the population cross dress and most identify themselves as heterosexual males… it was funny when the one person in the blog told the other one to release his inner cross dresser (paraphrased)…
