Can somebody help me out with makeup?
I recently started cross dressing and although I think I am getting the clothing, I feel completely lost when it comes to makeup. I don’t even know how to get started.
Well, how do i start? How do you choose an eyeshadow color? do you apply eyeshadow, eyeliner or mascara first. How do you choose a lip color? I am lost.

First, you should start off with any color eyeshadow, to play around and test it out! Get a concealier and dab it on your lids. Not too much! Rub it in and then you’re ready to appy the liner. Apply it along your upper lashline. Now, for eyeshadow, you can use the little sponge applictors they come with. Dab it on and gently sweep it around, blending it well so it doesn’t look splotchy. Now you can apply mascara. If you need very specific help/steps, go ahead and ask and I will answer them more specific.
For your lips, play around with glosses first. If you wear dramatic or heavy eye makeup, you want to tone down your lips. And vice versa.

Id suggest going out to the drugstore and buying an eyeshadow quad (one with four colors in it) usually the colors in the quad are meant to be used together so you wont have to worry about using the wrong ones. I think Maybelline has some really great quads. ALSO Id probably choose brown to start out with since its universal, it looks good on everyone, and its much more forgiving than bright colorful eyeshadows. It can also be used to do a casual look or a more dramatic smokey eye. You first apply your eyeshadow, then you will want to do your eyeliner. You can apply it on your upper lashline and on your lower lashline or inner rim (waterline). Apply your mascara last, my favorite mascaras are covergirl lashblast, L’oreal Voluminous and The Colossal Lash from Maybelline. As for a lip color just go with a pink colored gloss to start out with. Just do everything neutral colors since you are just starting out..you can venture more into color when you get more used to wearing makeup and learn what looks best on you!
